Army Parachute School Morale Patch
The Parachute Training School (PTS) is located in Nowra, NSW, at HMAS Albatross. PTS provides training for the Australian Defence Force in all areas of personnel parachuting. The school's mission is to equip members of the ADF and other authorized personnel with the skills to parachute, while also developing parachute doctrine and equipment to meet the Army's current and future needs. PTS offers a diverse range of training, including Static Line for massed insertion, Military Free Fall for experienced troopers, and High Altitude Parachute Operations with oxygen for extreme altitudes. With a safety record of almost 500,000 successful descents without a single student fatality, the school is internationally recognized for its excellence.
Military parachuting is open to all Corps’ soldiers with a demonstrable requirement in a parachute unit or parachute role. The Parachute Training School employs instructors from these backgrounds and members of the following specialist Army trades:
