Established in 1943, the Royal Australian Army Dental Corps (RAADC) is one of the Australian Army's specialist corps. RAADC's mission is to minimize the need for evacuating dental casualties, conserve manpower and reduce the burden of evacuating casualties. Since the post-war years, RAADC has provided personnel to overseas operations, including in Japan, Korea and Vietnam, as well as for peacekeeping in Somalia, Rwanda, Bougainville and East Timor.
