The production of a knife like this is quite difficult and costly. The blade and handle are made from one solid piece of 1070 carbon steel. Tough, easy to sharpen. Just be careful with rust. That is why Schrade has given it a black coating(Current image is for shape of knife only).

The Schrade SCHF21 comes with a hard plastic sheath with a steel belt clip.
